Adam Smith to step down as Managing Director of AITT in 2022

AITT would like to formally announce that Adam Smith will be departing AITT in early 2022.

Since his appointment as Managing Director in 2018, AITT has developed into one of the sector’s leading accrediting bodies, gaining greater recognition and grown significantly to achieve a strong position within the industry.

Adam Smith said: “It was always my ambition to modernise AITT and expand the membership. Thanks to the amazing efforts of our expert team, the association is in a better place than ever.”

“Departing has not been an easy decision, but I am looking forward to new challenges that lie ahead, and I have no doubt that AITT will continue to go from strength to strength. I will remain as Managing Director until the beginning of 2022 to help see the association into this next era and support a smooth handover to new leadership.”

AITT Chairman Mark Asplen added: “We are extremely grateful to Adam for the dedication, skill and passion he has brought to AITT over the past few years and we wish him all the best in the next step of his career.”

The new AITT Managing Director will be announced in due course.
