Lantra joins the ABA

Lantra awards has joined the ABA, increasing the number of accredited members to 5. How will this effect AITT Instructors?

Following the announcement made at the ABA webinar on the 20th October, it was confirmed that Lantra have become the 5th member of the ABA, and join AITT, ITSSAR, RTITB and NPORS as full members of the ABA.

Who are Lantra?

AITT are thrilled to welcome Lantra as an ABA member, and as a result we are announcing some key updates to the recognition their qualifications.

The following changes will now take effect:

  • Instructor Transfers

AITT will now permit the transfer of the Lantra instructor qualifications to AITT, via our transfer scheme.

  • Direct Entry Instructor courses

AITT will now accept Lantra instructor qualifications, as a direct entry to the 5 day AITT instructor course, enabling the instructor to obtain full AITT instructor registration

  • Operator Certification

AITT will now recognise Lantra operator certificates for instructors who wish to add these categories to their instructor portfolio, so long as there is an equivalent AITT accredited course*

*The certificates will require verification via AITT and must clearly denote the ABA category, and the accreditation verification reference.
