New AITT Chairman

Vice Chairman Andy Cartwright promoted to Chairman, following Mark Asplen’s decision to step down.

AITT can confirm that current Chairman Mark Asplen will be stepping down from his role, and become vice chairman of AITT. Mark informed the council last month that due to personal reasons he will be undertaking lighter duties, within his new temporary position in AITT council.

As AITT is a membership ran accrediting body, our constitution requires a council being formed. The members of the AITT council contribute their time and resources voluntarily, to help support the associations standards and maintenance of its membership.

AITT would like to massively thank Mark for his continued passion and commitment to the association during his time as chairman over the last 4 years.  He will continue to play a role within the council and has an option to return as Chairman in the future. We wish him well.

Andy Cartwright, who has been Vice Chairman for the last 12 months, will be a welcome addition as chairman, and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role.

Finally, Andy Langwith (AITT Training Standards Advisor) has been appointed standards committee member, and we look forward to his input on improving AITT training standards.
